A Pacifica Dining Classic Returns


Take a step back in time at Moonraker, a fresh take on Pacifica dining. Overlooking the ocean at The Best Western Plus Lighthouse hotel, Moonraker pays homage to the restaurant of the same name that occupied the space more than 25 years ago with a savory seafood menu.

Led by Executive Chef Jason Yeafoli, a 25-year veteran of restaurants like Mooses, Rose Pistola, and the original Moonraker, the culinary team crafts classic Pacifica seafood dining with an innovative twist. Savory starters like Clam Chowder and Chilled Half Dungeness Crab set the table for enticing entrees like Local Petrale Sole, Garlic Studded Lobster Tail, and Seared Jumbo Sea Scallops. All of Moonraker’s seafood is caught fresh and elegantly plated, with many of the ingredients coming from the Pacific waters the restaurant overlooks. The Pacifica restaurant serves a wide range of wines, sourced from the verdant wine country just inland from Pacifica, beers, and hand-crafted cocktails, inspired by the refined tastes of James Bond himself.

Designer Michael Brennan updated the elegant space to blend contemporary concepts with inspiration taken from the 1979 James Bond film from which the restaurant takes its name. The comfortable space blends retro accents like tobacco-brown leather booths and hanging light fixtures with modern touches like a wall of woven rope set on a black steel background. In addition to its dining space and 40-seat open bar area, Moonraker has an elegant 20-chair private dining room and access to three of the flexible function spaces at BEST WESTERN PLUS Lighthouse Hotel.
